Lisa Ewers

Junior associate

About Lisa

I graduated with a Master’s degree in Law (cand.jur.) from Aarhus University in January 2025 and subsequently began my role as a junior associate at Hulgaard Advokater.

I primarily work within the Energy and Utilities sector.

During my studies, I worked as a Student Worker at a world-renowned large Danish corporation, where I primarily handled Intellectual Property Rights; enforcement and portfolio work. Additionally, participated in moot court and case competitions, as well as attended and contributed to legal summer schools.

What does a typical workday look like for you?
A typical workday begins with organizing my tasks for the day. I review my assignments, prioritize them, and develop a plan of action. While no two workdays are identical, they all provide opportunities to engage deeply with various legal issues and collaborate with my experienced colleagues.

What skills are essential for your job?
It is crucial to be able to translate legal theory into practical solutions that create value for clients. The best outcomes stem from a deep understanding of client needs and objectives, making it essential to approach each matter with curiosity and a solutions-oriented mindset.

Additionally, structure and attention to detail are vital when dealing with complex legal issues. It is important to maintain a clear overview and stay adaptable in response to changes in legislation, especially in fields like energy and utilities law, which are continuously evolving.

What do you particularly enjoy about your job?
I particularly value the steep learning curve that comes with my role as a junior associate. I am constantly presented to new knowledge and challenges, which results in continuous growth. I also enjoy working on complex legal matters, where I can craft tailored solutions that genuinely make a difference.

What do you appreciate about Hulgaard Advokater?
Hulgaard Advokater is not only a firm with ambitious goals and opportunities for professional growth – key factors for a junior associate eager to learn – but it also has an excellent collegial atmosphere. It is positive to be part of a workplace where trust and community are fundamental parts of the culture.
